Good to know
Frequently asked questions
Is counselling covered by my insurance?
Orsolya is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Many extended health benefit plans reimburse sessions with a CCC — but coverage varies, so please check your specific plan for “Canadian Certified Counsellor” or “Registered/Certified Counsellor / Psychotherapist.” You pay at the time of session and receive a receipt to submit to your insurer. Direct billing is not currently offered.
Do you offer online / virtual sessions?
Yes. Sessions are available in person in Vancouver and by secure, confidential video anywhere in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Newfoundland, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut — whichever suits you better. Many clients mix the two.
What languages do you work in?
Orsolya offers counselling in English, Hungarian, and Russian.
How do I get started?
The easiest first step is a free 15-minute phone consultation. Book a session or consult here, or email Orsolya directly. There’s no obligation, and every question is welcome.
What is your cancellation policy?
Life happens. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule so the time can be offered to someone else; late cancellations or missed sessions may be charged the full fee. [Confirm exact policy with Orsolya.]
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. What you share is private and protected, within the limits set by law and professional ethics (for example, where there is a serious risk of harm, or a court order). We’ll go over confidentiality clearly in your first session.
How long will I need to come?
There’s no fixed answer — some people come for a focused piece of work over a few months, others value longer-term, deeper support. We’ll check in regularly about what’s helping, and you’re always in charge of the pace and the ending.
